Participants will engage in an “alchemical" practice with everyday objects in the interest of yielding a "universal elixir” or viable content for movement-based performance. Participants will investigate the movement potential of objects via shared solo and group actions in order to define the conditions which create moments of "alchemical" transformation. Participants are encouraged to bring an object that they'd like to use as a movement partner. Please choose objects that you are comfortable handing off to others.
Sunday Process Labs are a series of three-hour, low-cost sessions on Sunday afternoons, providing an opportunity for a substantive peer exchange in a lab-type setting. Sessions are facilitated by movement-based artists who share their individual creative practices and process.
