About the AoCC

The Artists of Color Council (AoCC) is a cohort of artists of color addressing cultural diversity, equity, and sustainable structural integration in MR’s operations, programming, outreach, and throughout its extended communities. The council aspires to increase visibility, opportunities, and engagement with resources for artists of color within the field.

Join the Artists of Color Council (AoCC) for their free monthly meetings, open to the public on the second Saturday of every month. Be part of an ongoing discussion on current events and topics relevant to artists of color and the wider community. To participate, please register for the date(s) you wish to attend.

Jelani Taylor is a dancer and choreographer from Virginia Beach, Virginia, currently working out of New York City. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) with a B.F.A in Dance and Choreography (2019).
