Movement Research, Abrons Arts Center and BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange are partnering through their parent artist residency programs, funded by the Sustainable Arts Foundation. This conversation and work-in-process sharing brings together parent artists Beth Gill, Natalie Green, Sassy Ma’at and Christina “Coco Motion” Smith, to share some of the work they have been developing during their residencies.

Dancer, choreographer and Jamaica Queens native Christina Smith, better known under the moniker CocoMotion. Serves as the founder and artistic director of NuTribe Dance Company.

Sassy Ma’at

Sassy Ma’at is a mother, poet, and educator. She holds an MFA in poetry from New York University.
