An immersive workshop in embodiment and the imagination with K.J. Holmes. This workshop will explore our human nature through explorations that connect us to a greater sense of self and to the world. We will look at systems and states of the body; challenge ourselves with direct contact as physical, psyche, emotion, dream; sound, sing, and use our voices as music, with found text and writings. We will create material to utilize what we know and reveal new strengths and tools for performance working indoors, outside, alone and together. How do we resonate, work with resistance? How do we know when we are more? How do we encounter the human dancing?

This workshop will culminate in a showing at Movement Research at the Judson Church on February 27. Students must do entire workshop as commitment is essential to fully enter into the nature of the work.

Human/ity Dance comes from 30 years of personal research into dance, somatics, theater, voice and Eastern practices extended into performance.

Registration for this workshop has closed. Join us for this workshop's culminating performance at Movement Research at the Judson Church on February 27!
