Workshop Description:
Disabled artists, Kayla Hamilton and Elisabeth Motley, met in 2018. Since then, they have shared similar curiosities around disability and disability arts practices. This lab is an opportunity to work through some of their questions with the community. Crip Movement Lab is a movement invitation to all disabled people and their non-disabled accomplices, including and not limited to those that identify as blind, visually impaired, Deaf/deaf, chronically ill, crip, or Mad. This lab will ask: How can we be together with movement practices which center disability as a framework for creativity? Be prepared to use sound and language with movement in all of their forms.

near her shoulders. Her legs are wide and slightly bent. She is
wearing blue jeans and a knee length cardigan that wraps around her
thighs. Behind her are storefronts and cars parked on the street.
