Marielys Burgos Meléndez, Jaime Ortega, and iele paloumpis have curated devynn emory, Nicole Soto-Rodríguez, and Despina Sophia Stamos for a screening and panel on creative embodied practices for self and social healing.

Each of these artists utilizes video to document and track their interdisciplinary research on embodiment and healing. Their work calls into consideration the accessibility of embodiment and healing practices, and the lengths to which video work can pinpoint the personal while also scaling to convey what is widely social and political.

Information about the panel:

emory will share their somatic practice called #mmm / #movementmeditationmemorials, which have developed out of the necessity to move through both the honor and grief of caring for patients as an Emergency and Hospice Nurse.
