This workshop focuses on arriving together through an extended warm up, working through various elements of yoga, somatics, grooving, and breath work. The class progresses to further release tension and encourage openness in the body and mind, heightening the sensations of the weighted body to find length, clarity, and dynamics in movement. The workshop incorporates a range of calculated movement sequences, gentle partner work, improvisation, and games.

My practice involves the exploration of movement as medium, honoring the body as a portal into imagining, self-identifying, and deep connectivity. My goal is to journey through several different dancing pockets, embracing a range of approaches to embodiment, discovery, and joy. In my practice, the movement is researched as a framework through which a relational awareness is activated and engaged, enlivening the senses to the many layers of our dancing experience.

What to expect:
This is a movement based workshop designed for those with an existing movement and/or dance practice. Please prepare for moments of phrase work, discussion, partner work, improvisation, and laughter.
