The focus of our five mornings together will be our bodies, our movement, our sensing, and our attention to all of this and to each other. The daily sessions begin in different ways, but no matter what, we will take the time we need to carefully and luxuriously ready ourselves for full bodied movement. This readying process will also attend to our mechanics, needs and alignment as we try to locate our individual ease, clarity, strength, and robust energy. We look for feedback from our bodies, recognize our inherent physical intelligence as we arrive at dancing together. The atmosphere is relaxed and collaborative, but our work is rigorous. Through bits of improvisation and learned movement we will continue to stimulate our awareness and intuition as we listen to ourselves while we listen to each other. In phrase work that evolves during the week we hone our skills, uncover nuance and deepen our physicality, pleasure and understanding.

What to expect:
In a relaxed atmosphere we will do both standing and floor practices.
We will learn a movement phrase that develops and changes and accumulates over the week.
Some of the movement with which we will work will be set, some improvised and more exploratory.
Everything we do can be modified for personal comfort and ease, but we will be working.
