From Runaway to Runway –  a history of dressing up and dressing others: We try to incorporate all the influences of the time periods, the locations, people we saw.

How to Wear a Robe
How to Properly Wear Socks
How to Move Comfortably in Restrictive Clothing
How to Disregard Your Attire
How to move pretending you are wearing something else
How to perform as if you were naked, while being dressed
How to perform as if you were dressed while being naked (optional)
How to get dressed on stage
How to dress/undress on stage

What role do costumes or clothing play on a stage
Is that different from your life
What is your favorite thing to wear and why
Can a costume be the performance
What changes when you wear something else

We will work on creating ‘looks’ and find ways to wear them in a performance, and play with the role of them on stage, be it foreground or background.

No sewing skills required (we will not use machines, just scissors and our hands). Please bring a few items of clothing that can be used and may be altered/re- or de-constructed.
