Bio and Links

Milka Djordjevich is a dance artist and arts administrator based in Brooklyn, NY. She was raised by Serbian parents in Long Beach, California and received her B.A. in World Arts & Cultures and minor in Italian from UCLA in 2002. In 2003, Milka relocated to New York to attend the MFA program at Sarah Lawrence College to focus on choreography. Since graduating, her work has been shown at various venues in New York City including Movement Research at Judson Church, Starr Street Projects, BAX and AUNTS. Milka also occasionally performs for other dance artists such as Natalie Green, Jennifer Monson & Sam Kim.

She is a 2006-2007 Movement Research Artist-in-Resident and at the end of 2007 will be attending P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels for a month long residency. Her time in Brussels will be documented on her weblog with thoughts, impressions, photographs, video, etc. The weblog will also include thoughts and ideas regarding other performance work as well as Milka’s own work.
