Ruby Dietz is a filmmaker and aspiring performing arts administrator based in Brooklyn, NY. Her interests include the documentation, preservation, and celebration of movement. Ruby’s dual passions for dance and film overlap in her experimental documentary SCREENDANCE, which uses appropriated archival footage to explore the relationship between dancer and camera. SCREENDANCE premiered in 2023 at Truth Be Told Film Festival and was selected for CreateArt’s 2023 Dance Film Series at Millennium Film Workshop.
Ruby holds a Graduate Certificate in Documentary Media Studies from The New School, as well as a B.A. in Political Communication from George Washington University.
