Milteri Tucker Concepcion is a master renowned Bomba dancer, founder and executive director of Bombazo Dance Co, Inc. A Bronx based non profit organization preserving, educating and performing Bomba Puertorriquena (Afro Boricua music and dance). Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Mrs. Concepcion has practiced Bomba with elders of the Island and has perform Bomba in both community and performance arts Spaces through her dance company. Amongst the many accomplishments, Milteri has performed and presented Bomba in all five boroughs of New York City and the Tri State area, including New Orleans, Mexico and Cuba. Milteri is a highlighted dancer in both Lin Manuel’s Miranda “In The Heights The Movie” and selected buy Oscar winning filmmaker Spike Lee to perform in his movie “Higest to Lowest” Starring Denzel Whasington and ASAP Rocky. She is the author of the first bilingual Children’s book and Founder of the first international handmade Bomba and Caribbean Skirts: Bombazo Wear.
