tor and mik live, work, teach/study, and research as both solo artists and collaborators in so-called Philadelphia. they create intimate, complex, disastrous, and painful performance works and processes that engage with queer futurity, kink/fantasy, preparedness and the ends of worlds. in their research, they are figuring out what they want the world to look like and how they want to be engaging with it at a human level, through and beyond their artistic collaboration. mik and tor’s recent project ‘mike baby please,’ reckoned with consequentials, shifting through wrestling, yelling, nestling, grunting and fucking. ‘mike baby please’ took many iterations throughout 2022 and 2023 with in-progress showings in NYC and Philadelphia and an evening-length show produced by Cannonball in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. tor and mik’s current research in preparedness has led to an in-progress showing at slowSHARE in NYC in 2024, a two-month open class series, ‘building preparedness (mapping, touching, holding),’ sponsored by Philly Dance Share, and an excerpted performance at Fresh Juice in Philadelphia in 2025.
