Megan Mazarick is a performer, choreographer, and educator based in Philadelphia. Her choreographic research explores human relationships and identity, looking for ways to smash pop culture and the politics of the body against one another. Her work has been presented throughout the United States and internationally in Singapore, Bulgaria, Egypt, Poland, Hungary, Mexico, and Australia. She has received support from an Independence Fellowship, Philadelphia’s Live Arts Brewery Residency, multiple American Embassies abroad, and was a 2025-2026 MAP Fund grantee. As a performer she has worked with David Gordon, Susan Rethorst, Keith Thompson, Marianela Boan, and Merian Soto. Her choreography bounces between theatrical narrative and pure dance, working through stream-of-consciousness improvisation scores and pixilated movement states. She is interested in inhabiting the body in real and fictional ways at the same time and is (above all) a lover of humorous details. She aims to be cosmic in the performative body and a realist in her dramaturgical perspective. She has taught technique, improvisation, and composition in festivals and universities around the world and is currently an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Dance at Rider University.
