Margot Mae is a dance, music, and multimedia artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY. Her recent works include scoring the dance-horror-sci-fi film Demon Legion, created by KJ Dahlaw, in collaboration with Rhea Speights and Jenno Snyder, and a large collaborative process called Softboarding, which brought skateboarders, musicians, and dancers together into a community-oriented practice mixing dance, soft skateboards with felt, and sound. She is active as a recording/performing artist and instrumentalist under the name “tomboy margot”, and currently leads the band Lavender Tops. When not making music or dance, Margot works as an Audio Engineer / Technical Producer for live music and theater. Margot is not on social media so you should just call her or hang out sometime. She also loves rock climbing and riding bikes around the city.
