Luc Vitk is a dancer, choreographer, and musician of Czech origin, living in Brooklyn, NY. Their work spans from performance art to symphonic and electronic music. Luc is a professional dancer and composer who works in both fields. They studied dance in Blansko (CZ), Brno (JAMU Brno, CZ), and Valencia (California Institute of the Arts, USA).

As a young person in the Czech Republic, they taught tap dance at the Theatre Faculty of Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts and also made several television appearances and received awards in dance competitions. Since then, they have transformed their rigorous dance discipline and training into a more creative and experimental experience. They currently focus on performance art and have performed their choreographies in the United States, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, and Japan.

Luc’s performances frequently incorporate instruments such as accordion, synthesizer, feedback, and voice as they investigate the acoustics of rooms in relation to movement. They also make costumes out of discarded materials for their performances, employ various types of lighting and objects, and build new sound instruments. In their academic research, they dealt with the questions of social relations and everyday life and their implications for art.
