Lindsey Red-tail, born and raised in Altadena, on Tongva Lands is a non-binary dance artist, medicine gatherer and storyteller, whose work weaves together the intersection of movement, Nature and ancestral connection. Lindsey’s offerings are informed by their time in the mountains dancing and singing for the Land and Spirit guides. They are on a rainbow path of remembrance, lighting up the places within. Co-creating with community and with the elements Lindsey orchestrates rituals, workshops and outdoor performances sharing their teachings through art and connection to Nature. A 2012 graduate of California Institute of the Arts, Lindsey has established themselves as a transformative choreographic voice across Los Angeles creating pieces with Scripps College, Cal State LA and Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company, and receiving residency support with Los Angeles Performance Practice and the City of Santa Monica.
