Kyli Kleven is an artist based in Brooklyn. Her work has been shown at Gibney Dance Center, The Center for Performance Research, Movement Research at the Judson Church, Shelter Talks, and Roulette Intermedium. She owes much of her point-of-view to participating as a performer in the practices of Neil Greenburg, Larissa Velez-Jackson, Kim Brandt, Ryan McNamara, Jillian Peña, Milka Djordjevich, Jen Monson, Jen Rosenblit, Jen Allen, Deke Weaver, and Kirstie Simson, and to working alongside folks at the Center for Anti-Violence Education. She’s been making collaborative work with snooze karabush the past few years. She studied dance and gender studies at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, was a 2018-19 Movement Research Artist in Residence, and was a 2008 DanceWEB scholar at ImPulsTanz. She started life in Alaska.
