Katia George is a multidisciplinary dancer, somatic practitioner, and researcher from the Carolinas, now based in New York City. Upon graduating from Yale University in 2025, she had completed over 30 choreographic works and developed under the guidance of Renée Robinson, Ishmael Houston-Jones, Emily Coates, Jodi Melnik, and Eiko Otake. Her practice moves across Latin, contemporary, and Afro-diasporic movement styles, weaving technique, theory, and ethnographic inquiry to treat movement as both scholarship and lived experience. Alongside her artistic life, Katia is pursuing a career as an attorney and nonprofit advocate, grounding her work in justice and community impact.
