Joshua Lubin-Levy is a scholar, dramaturg, and performance curator. His work centers on queer and experimental dance and performance practice, particularly as they intersect with various dimensions of anti-capitalist struggle. He is currently working on a book project about the performance work of artist Jack Smith. In addition to editing the Movement Research Performance Journal, he is the Director of the Center for the Arts at Wesleyan University and a Curatorial Research Associate with the Whitney Museum of American Art, where he is focused on a forthcoming exhibition on choreographer Alvin Ailey.
