Jesi Cook is a movement based artist living in NYC since 2005. Her practice combines drawing, sound, and channeling in building improvisation scores. Cook has been supported by the Movement Research 2019 AIR program, 2020 Foundation for Contemporary Art Covid Emergency Grant, Mertz Gilmore Late Stages Grant, 2022 NYLA Fresh Tracks Residency, and Roulette Intermedium.

Cook has presented her work and collaborations at Movement Research at Judson Memorial Church, MoMA PS1 Dome, 92nd St Y / Sundays at Noon, Pieter Performance Space, AUNTS, Roulette Intermedium, LmaK Gallery, and PAM Residencies. Her dance drawings were recently published in The Capilano Review Winter 2021 Issue, im looking for a way to dance, and a writing piece in the online archive Interlude Docs curated by Rebekah Weil. Cook graduated from the SUNY Purchase Dance Conservatory in 2005.
