Cassie (they/them) is a Brooklyn-based performer and aspiring creator, originally from Maryland. They are a current senior at The New School Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts, pursuing a B.A. in Journalism + Design and Contemporary Dance. Driven by experience in the journalistic field, they are interested in molding audioscapes to movement and infusing obscure knowledge into narratives. Cassie has studied with and performed works by Mariana Valencia, Joanna Kotze, Vicky Shick, Nami Yamamoto, Katy Pyle, Katie Workum, and Jordan Lloyd, and received mentorship from members of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company during a restaging of “Continuous Replay.”
