Betina Barrios Ayala (Barquisimeto, 1985)
Researcher, teacher, and book dealer. During the last thirteen years she has lived in cities such as Caracas, Buenos Aires y Nueva York. She holds a degree in Political Studies from the Universidad Central de Venezuela (2007), a Master Degree in International Relations from the Universidad de Belgrano (2015) and is a doctoral candidate in Latin American Literature and Cultural Criticism at the Universidad de San Andrés. In this institution, she works as a teaching assistant in the Department of Humanities on Latin American Literature.
She was a finalist in the I Concurso Nacional de Poesía Joven Rafael Cadenas (2016). She has published and exhibited in anthologies, journals, and venues in Venezuela, Argentina, Spain, Colombia, Uruguay, and the United States. Since 2011, she has been running the literary blogexperienceparoles and works on the independent research project Afecto Impreso.
