Annabelle Stern is an artist and dancer from Phoenix, Arizona. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Dance from Reed College, where she studied under Carla Mann, Oluyinka Akinjiola, and Victoria Fortuna. Annabelle is interested in the roles that identity and community play throughout different types of dance environments, and how both dancers and non-dancers alike can find joy and awareness through movement. She continues to explore her own movement instincts and dance communities in Portland, Oregon. She is currently teaching dance at Pacific Dance Academy, and has choreographed for Imagine Theater and Clackamas High School. She is thrilled to be a part of the Critical Correspondence team and looks forward to learning and growing with Movement Research.
