Annabel Sexton-Daldry is a dancer, choreographer, improviser, and burlesque artist who uses cross-disciplinary movement practices to explore the ways in which choreography, sexiness, improvisation, partying, and absurdity can intersect on stage. She is currently a rising senior at Oberlin College and is pursuing a Dance Major with a concentration in Peace and Conflict Studies. She is interested in how these two fields overlap, and the innate ways in which embodiment and dance practices inform resistance. During her time at Oberlin so far, she has specifically trained in Contact Improvisation and Contemporary dance practices. Raised in an artist loft in the meatpacking district in NYC, her current work is heavily influenced by the many artists who lived, worked, and performed in her home, and she is interested in exploring the ways in which space informs performance and creative practices. She has the pleasure of studying under Ellen Robbins, Ann Cooper Albright, Alysia Ramos, Holly Handman-Lopez, and Al Evangelista.
