Allie Hankins is a queer performance artist weaving dance, sound, text, and humor into works that revel in the destabilization of persona. Based in Portland, OR, she has spent more than a decade crafting experimental performances that slip out of tidy categories, using uncanny physicality and layered imagery to pull audiences into unexcpected emotional and psychological terrain. She has performed with choreographers such as Milka Djordjevich, Morgan Thorson, and Linda Austin, and her work has toured to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Berlin, Albuquerque, and Cork.
