There is a body – there is not a body: This is me – then again, it is not. – Hanshan

Choreography is a vehicle for dancing. A container in which spontaneous and premeditated acts can occur. As dance takes shape, we emerge with a sense of things. Everything can be included. Good and bad dances are not the point. In making something from nothing, we make ourselves vulnerable. The scratch at the surface deepens and widens, cutting to the marrow, and a virtuosic relationship to arising phenomena becomes apparent. Through this valiant activity, we are changed.
