Workshop Description
Crip Movement Lab is a movement practice invitation to all disabled people and their non-disabled accomplices, including and not limited to those that identify as blind, visually impaired, Deaf/deaf, chronically ill, crip, or Mad. In this workshop-style community practice, we reach toward the liberatory pathways found in improvisational dance and the crip pride found in processes of creating movement from disability knowledge.
The question central to Crip Movement Lab is: How can we be together with movement practices which center disability as a framework for creativity?
