12:30pm – 2:30pm
August 10, 2020
  • This MELT workshop is being offered virtually through Zoom.
  • Registration is OPEN!

Movement Research offers this MELT workshop virtually over Zoom.

Workshop description:

In this workshop we will explore how the shift in the social decomposition process--body/society/body--has evolved as we live in quarantine, in small apartments, on Zoom, in homes, gardens, city parks, and on occupied land. How do we move and breathe in a pandemic that continually takes our breath away? How do we acknowledge the decomposed matter of black life? How can we dance with and through an embodied decomposition process by exploring disorientation, dissent, disorder, wildness, rest and repair? Come as you are.

MELT Zoom Etiquette Guidelines:

  • We ask that you please "Mute" yourself when you are not verbally participating.
  • Please do your best to arrive on time and stay for the duration of the session. If you plan to leave early, inform the faculty member at the top of class using the "Chat" function in your Zoom window.
  • Experiencing connectivity or technological issues? Either use the "Chat" function to communicate with the MR administrator, or email “[email protected]" and someone will assist you as soon as possible.
