Centered in consent, we will explore diverse dynamics that enable healing, playfulness and the unveiling of physical and emotional layers.
We will start by engaging in deep listening exercises, sharing stories, moving our bodies in proximity (or not), interactions and attentiveness. Grounding therapies/ rituals of protection like indigenous Rapé and grounding feet therapies, as well as other somatic approaches like vocalization, listening meditation, sounding, (inspired by Pauline Oliveros' work), and Alexander Technique exercise to relax vocal cords (led by Sara White-Ayón) will be available. Lastly, participants are invited to embody the healing power of the naked body in performance as developed in my own artistic practice. Individuals are encouraged to weave in an out of exercises as they feel comfortable. A waiver addressing the use of Rapé will be given beforehand.
