The Alexander Technique is a means of identifying unconscious habits – those that can interfere with our ability to attend to the moment, to our selves and others; as well as those that make sense and reveal deep creative insights. Beginning with the proposition that we are perfectly designed for movement and balance, we engage our awareness to trust this design and legacy as well as to undo and unlearn layers of interference, creating opportunity for understanding how we use (or misuse) ourselves, for mining our un/sub/conscious and for promoting self-reflection and a profound self-knowledge that is deeply helpful for the artist.
