Alexander Technique looks at the way we carry out our intentions. We often use a process that is habitual, unconscious, and counterproductive. This class is grounded in the principles of the Alexander Technique, carrying those principles forward and developing a new teaching method that is more suited to the needs of dancers: Mobilignment™.

Mobilignment™ is a method of awareness in movement that enlivens deep, ongoing postural support with fluidity and ease. Benefits are less risk of injury, confidence, and precision in movement. Inspired by Clare’s many years dancing and teaching the Alexander Technique, Mobilignment™ integrates skeletal, muscular, and central nervous systems in a clear and simple way. Most importantly, Mobilignment™ supports individual expression and invites an in-process awareness of self in motion that is freeing rather than restrictive, being untethered to any particular movement style, form, or aesthetic.
