Memory is an illusion of the instant. If so, how can we be poetically present? During this workshop, we will explore movingwritingwritingmoving as a continuum. Through diverse movementwriting exercises, we may discover -or not- the imagery, (il)logics, conflicts, rhythms, and structures intrinsic to the practice. We may also discover other unexpected things or nothing at all. -Nothing-. Our senses are our most precious allies of inquiry. There is no sense to be made, no story to be told, no expectation to be met. We already are…. living texts.
what is the movement of writing? what ‘voices’ emerge from moving? what language? how do we embody our inner poetry? what narratives are “embedded” in us? what fictions? ...is there anything we want to ‘say’ at all? -Anything-.
Participants are encouraged to take both days (May 9 and 16).
