This Weekend Intensive explores the process of integrating movement, voice, speaking, breath, character, into the full range of expressiveness through the instrument of the body using structured improvisation. We want to increase our range and means of expression, to take risks as performers and discover our unique, holistic sense of creating. Class incorporates a physical warm-up and vocal warm-up, with learning a song each day to be sung together in "rounds" creating a sense of community and unified purpose, from which we can move into movement, voice and text explorations together and individually. We will be immersed in "Serious Play!"

Workshop includes opportunity to perform a Structured Improvisation supervised with Janis at Judson Church on Monday night, March 18 on the Movement Research at the Judson Church series.
