This class is largely informed by Skinner Releasing Technique (TM), an experimental and poetic approach to movement and creative process developed by Joan Skinner (1924- 2021). The classes encourage letting go of unnecessary tension, allowing for new movement and perceptual possibilities. Improvisational practices interwoven with poetic imagery, music/sound and silence facilitate a deep kinesthetic experience, allowing for freedom of movement while tapping into our creative process(es). OPEN TO ALL.

What to expect:
This is an improvisational movement class for beginners and experienced movers. We will engage specific imagery, quiet time on the floor, deepening our physical and perceptual awarenesses while igniting new movement possibilities.
