Pilates Essentials
Pilates offers foundational core exercises to support the diverse strengthening needs we have. Each class will be centered around a weekly theme or body part. Questions and inquiries from students will also guide and change how we approach each session. This slower paced Pilates class is intended to allow students time to center and build strength through awareness around how they are moving. We will use a mix of techniques: foam rolling, contemporary & classical Pilates, stretching and breath to dive into the mechanics of our strengthening practice. All are welcome and no previous experience is necessary.
What to expect:
This Pilates class will be detailed and anatomical but will move globally and offer different techniques like self massage, contemporary & classical Pilates exercises, stretching, and breath to create more awareness and openness in the body for when we start to strengthen and move into harder classical Pilates movements. This class is appropriate for all and questions are very, very welcome.
