Building/Studio Access information will be provided via email from studio@movementresearch.org the week prior to your first booking.
Find information and studio request guidelines in our Subsidized Rehearsal Space page.
Cancellation / Refund Policy: Payments are not refundable within 7 days of the rehearsal space booking. Cancellations can only be made by emailing studio@movementresearch.org, with the specific rehearsal date(s) and times that are being canceled.
Please Note: Movement Research is currently only offering the Subsidized Rehearsal Space Program to the public. Under this program, artists may book subsidized studio space for $10/hr for artist rehearsals only.
Prior to the pandemic, Movement Research had a separate rate for other studio usages, including rates for classes, workshops, auditions, photo-shoots and filming. At this time, we can not accommodate these requests. We look forward to being able to offer our spaces for these events again in the future.
Movement Research’s Subsidized Rehearsal Space Program is supported by Dance/NYC’s New York City Dance Rehearsal Space Subsidy Program, made possible by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation; by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and the Mertz Gilmore Foundation.
