Subsidized Rehearsal Space
The Movement Research Subsidized Rehearsal Space Program provides subsidized rehearsal space to artists involved in dance or movement-related processes at a rate as low as $10 per hour.
Residency Programs
Movement Research hosts a range of Residency Programs which provide artists with a dynamic, interactive home base for inquiry, artistic research, and creative development.
Exchange Programs
GPS / Global Practice Sharing and Movement Research Exchange (MRX) foster international artistic exchanges. These platforms provide dance and movement-based artists the opportunity to share ideas, creative processes, and artistic contexts, and reflect on their practices.
Performance opportunities
Movement Research offers two programs providing ongoing opportunities for artists to share work in process: Movement Research at the Judson Church and Open Performance.
Internships at MR
The Movement Research Internship Program supports early career artists and arts workers in learning valuable skills in the areas of nonprofit performing arts administration, production, and event management.
Dance Makers in the Schools
A collaboration with NYC public school communities, Dance Makers in the Schools creates educational opportunities in which working dance artists teach children and share their own creative processes. Movement Research partners with each school to create a unique program that serves the school’s specific needs.
