Clara Kim is a dancer and writer living in Brooklyn, NY. Rooted by principles of contact improvisation, postmodern aesthetics and Zen Buddhism, her practice explores the complex entanglement of time, metaphor, change and memory. She is committed to dance as a pre-conceptual area of expression that stands in impossible, perfect relation to the written word. They have been deeply affected by working and learning with artists including Deborah Hay, KJ Holmes and Amelia Heintzelman. She holds a BA from Smith College in Philosophy with a minor in Neuroscience.
