Land Acknowledgement

Movement Research is based on the island of Manna-hatta, on the unceded (stolen) lands of the Lenape people. We honor and pay our respects to the Lenape people and all of the Indigenous caretakers of these lands and waters and across Turtle Island. We also acknowledge all people who have/are being displaced from their ancestral homelands by genocide, forced migration, illegal settlements, enslavement, incarceration, deportation, and war.

As a move toward active solidarity, we encourage you to donate to the American Indian Community House, the Lenape Center, and Lenni Lenapexkweyok, an organization of Lenape matriarchs whose mission is to return Lenape people to their ancestral homelands.
