Maka Chkhaidze is a curator and cultural manager based in Tbilisi, Georgia. With a background in theatre and social psychology, she brings together these two disciplines in her practice, maintaining a strong commitment to using the performing arts as a tool for fostering connection, dialogue, and collaboration between underrepresented social groups. In 2022, Maka founded InForm – Platform for Inclusive Minds, a non-profit organization dedicated to integrating disability narratives and inclusive methodologies into the contemporary performing arts field in Georgia. Under her leadership, InForm has developed into a key platform for inclusive artistic practice, supporting collaboration between disabled and non-disabled artists and advocating for accessibility in the performing arts sector in Georgia. The organization has established an inclusive contemporary dance theatre group that brings together dancers and actors with and without disabilities. The group creates and presents original and collaborative performances both locally and internationally, while also developing educational programmes aimed at strengthening inclusive practices within disability and arts communities. Alongside her organizational work, Maka Chkhaidze has extensive experience as an independent curator and researcher, working on a wide range of interdisciplinary arts projects with cultural institutions in Tbilisi and internationally. Her curatorial practice focuses on participatory, socially engaged, and process-based approaches, often exploring the intersection of performance, access, and community building. Maka Chkhaidze is a participant of the CEC ArtsLink International Fellowships programme in 2025 with a US residency hosted by Art Spark Texas, and completed a curatorial residency at Residency Unlimited in New York in 2025. Through these experiences, she continues to expand her international collaboration network and develop inclusive artistic practices across different cultural contexts.
