Ivy Baldwin is a NY-based choreographer, performer, teacher, and founder of Ivy Baldwin Dance. Her work has been presented and commissioned by NYU Skirball, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM Next Wave Festival), The Chocolate Factory Theater, Movement Research, Abrons Art Center, Joyce Theater (Joyce Unleashed), Dixon Place, Dance Theater Workshop, New York Live Arts, La MaMa, E.T.C, Philip Johnson Glass House (CT), American Dance Institute (MD), Manitoga / Russel Wright Design Center (NY), The Wooden Floor (CA), Dance Center Columbia College Chicago / Same Planet Performance Projects (Il), and internationally at Tanz im August (Danceoff!) (Germany) and Dans Contemporan International Dance Festival (Romania). Honors include fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, Bogliasco Foundation, MacDowell, Yaddo, Marble House Project, and ArtistNe(s)t (Romania). IBD has received support from the Jerome Foundation, Trust for Mutual Understanding, Foundation for Contemporary Arts (Emergency Grants), LMCC, Gibney DiP, NYSCA Grants to Artists, O’Donnell-Green Music and Dance Foundation, and Charles and Joan Gross Family Foundation, among others. Baldwin has been a guest artist and adjunct faculty at numerous colleges and universities including Barnard College, Bard College, and The New School, among others.
