Melis Yesiller is a Turkish dancer and choreographer based in New York City. She is currently pursuing advanced studies in choreography at the Martha Graham School and holds a BFA in Classical Ballet and Modern Dance from Istanbul University State Conservatory. Her recent work Threads of the Wild, exploring ecological change caused by the absence of wolves, premiered at the International Human Rights Art Festival. She also presented Ünzile, a duet addressing child marriages around the world. Her other original pieces, including Camelia, Niobe, and Nysa, have been showcased at the Martha Graham Studio Theater in New York City. Melis has performed in Carousel of Dreams for Dior’s Saks Fifth Avenue Winter Window Reveal, choreographed by Virginie Mecene and Janet Eilber. She previously danced with the Mercan Selçuk Dance Company and the Mersin State Opera and Ballet, performing in productions such as The Nutcracker, West Side Story, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
