In this seminar we will encounter six texts, each other, and many dances for three days. Taking our lead from anticolonial and antifascist movements, we will then address this question: how does the ongoing struggle find modes of partnering with dance – and vice-versa? So, for three sessions, the proposition is to read together two texts a day and then discuss and share and think with and through them on the way to dances. Those texts are by: Paul Virilio, Denise Ferreira da Silva, Frantz Fanon, Elsa Dorlin, Mimi Sheller, and Nicholas Anthony Brown. The dances are by: our collective archives. Not looking for any definitive answers, we may nevertheless find gestures, identify concepts, and coimagine together ways to keep moving/dancing in the continuous struggle and as the ongoing struggle.
