As a movement artist, I have been a student of Pilates for the last eighteen years of dancing professionally, utilizing its smart system of organization for physical therapy and injury prevention throughout my career. I teach a contemporary style of Pilates that prioritizes safe body mechanics. I work to hold a space for all folks to breathe, slow down, organize, work, sweat and connect with their bodies. My classes focus on alignment, stability, strength, breath, balance & flow- working through, in & around the classical Pilates choreography to create body-supportive progressions that get all bodies moving in all directions. I prioritize access, inclusivity & curiosity in my teaching- offering classes fit for professional movers, parents, teachers, gardeners, service workers, organizers, artists, office workers, and more. I trust that movement is healing, and healing is for everyone.
What to expect:
We will breathe, slow down, organize, work, sweat and connect with our bodies through movement. This Pilates class is suitable for all levels of mover.
