Alex DiCastro (she,her) is a New York City based dance artist currently completing her BFA in Dance at Florida State University. Throughout her training, she has had the privilege of learning from artists including Peter Chu, Adriane Fang, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Ilana Goldman, Kara Wilkes, Brenna Monroe-Cook, Donna Uchizono, Lynda Davis, and Ben Howard.
Alex views dance as one of the most innate forms of human communication. Her creative work centers around this belief, striving to use the body as a vehicle to process, connect, and communicate through physicality.
Her interest in dance extends beyond the stage as she blends her love for movement into different mediums. Her dance films have been showcased at festivals, including EXETER Dance International Film Festival (United Kingdom), Dance on Screen Film Festival (Austria), and Frame x Frame Film Fest (Texas).
