These morning practice sessions are about our physicality. We take time to carefully ready ourselves as we try to locate our individual ease, clarity, strength, and robust energy. Our preparation also attends to physical mechanics, alignment, and movement efficiency. Through exploration, a bit of improvisation, time spent both on the floor and upright, we eventually arrive at our full-bodied movement/phrase work. The atmosphere is relaxed, but also serious and rigorous. We look to enhance our understanding, our intuition, our focus, hone our skills, discover our comfort and pleasure, and find ourselves dancing together.
