Brianna Elyse Torres and Bria Monet Barfield are multidisciplinary artists united in exploring the space between “here and there.”
Brianna, a Boricua movement artist, educator, and birthworker, integrates movement, visual arts, and community care into her practice. Rooted in Puerto Rican heritage and social justice, her projects like True North, exploring migration, and Allí 0 Allá, archiving diasporic bodies, delve into decolonization, healing, and home. Based in Lenapehoking (NYC), Brianna’s art fosters collective liberation and joy through creativity and activism.
Bria, a Christ-centered audile multi-instrumentalist and labor rights advocate, blends music and anthropology to explore humanity’s relationship with sound. A versatile creator, she excels as a Band Leader and Assistant Music Director, with technical expertise as an electrician and IBEW Local Union #3 member. Her work celebrates cultural diversity and epistemic justice.
Together, Brianna and Bria unite their artistic visions to create evocative spaces for reflection, community care, and collective healing. Their collaboration highlights the power of art and movement to inspire action and celebrate shared humanity.
