Violeta is a dancer from Mexico City who started dancing at age 16 in Tlaxcala. Her passion for dance led her back to Mexico City, then Querétaro and ultimately to NYC. On this dance journey, she has found joy in creating her own solo work, as well as creating a family. She has wanted to participate in a Movement Research show since her move to New York in 2008. She is eager to share her work with the audience at Judson Church, alongside the music composer Stephanie Sanders.
Violeta also collaborates with more dance companies, among them are Dance to the People directed by Maira Duarte and Sleepdance by Stephanie Sleeper. She is always open to collaborating in new projects.
