Justine Florence is a movement-based, interdisciplinary artist from NYC. Her work utilizes investigative tasks in order to initiate and contain a more impulsive state of physicality. Folding field recordings into performance, she is interested in deconstructing both sound and body, finding tension in the familiar and seeking sustainability in the severe.

Justine received a dual degree in Dance and Written Arts from Bard College, where she was awarded The Margaret and John Bard Scholars Prize in the Arts, and has shown work at the Fisher Center for Performing Arts, Annandale-on-Hudson, NY; UBS Gallery, Red Hook, NY; Gracemoon Arts, Brooklyn, NY; Brick Aux, Brooklyn, NY; Movement Research, NY; and the Centre National de la Danse, Pantin, France, as part of Camping’s School Marathon.
