Justine Florence is a choreographer, writer, and performance artist. She received her B.A. in Dance and Written Arts from Bard College in 2024, and now resides in Queens, NY. As a dance maker, Justine is interested in deconstructing kinesthetic experience, believing in the body’s ingrained knowledge and impulsive nature. With a choreographic process rooted in improvisation, her work aims to contain and preserve a more organic, spontaneous state of physicality. Beyond her studies in dance and writing, she is influenced by her training in experimental theater and voice, and enjoys choreographing in conversation with text, field recording, and film.
